It has been a very eventful year.
Sergio has gone through a job change. He is now an independent contractor driving for a courier service, and drives 350 miles 5 days a week, and he has started going to college. He is working towards a degree in computer networking. Work AND school have been a little consuming so he has not gotten to do everything he has wanted to especially like hanging out with his family.
Crystal, now 17 and is equipped with a drivers license. She is a permanent lifeguard at the local pool. This just means that she gets to work year round rather than just during the summer. She is an awesome lifeguard, and swim lessons teacher. Crystal is also working at her high school, and played volleyball; they were undefeated, and is currently playing basketball, and so far they are undefeated in this sport too. She is also going to college, and is not quite sure what she wants to major in, but possibly something medical.
We are still waiting for Noah (age 11) to sprout. Pray for growth! He is a great point guard on his Jr. Jazz team (his team is also undefeated...unlike the real Jazz = ( He can make most of his free throws, and some long distance shots. He LOVES video games, and computer games. He has been throwing the football around with his frinds at school and really seems to like that. Good luck on getting me to sign him up for football. I think I'll stick with baseball. He's good at that too. Noah even has good grades, mostly A's. He is a great big brother to his little brother Ezra, who really likes to play with him. As for a great big brother to his sisters...well (at least not yet)
Maleah (age 9) has been busy playing with friends, and going to dance. This is her first year at dance, and she is loving it. She played baseball in the spring, and she can't wait to do it again, but this time with pink cleats, pink batting helmet and a pink bat. Oh yes, and a pink mitt too I am sure. She's getting a pink basketball for Christmas too. I am sure pink hair is next! Hannah Montana/Miley Cirus is still the "in" thing for her. She loves her music. Maleah is an awesome student: she has all A's. Now if we can just convince everyone she REALLY is the loudest one in the house next to Ezra. =)
Anya (age 7) is still having a hard time realizing she is not the baby, she is not shy to let you know that she is still the baby GIRL. She is a huge help with Ezra when he lets her be. Anya is also taking dance, and she loves it too. She really liked soccer this year, and can't wait for it to come around again. She thinks she wants to do baseball in the spring, but she likes to change her mind alot. She is still our most out spoken child. She'll tell you like it is, and exactly how she thinks it is and should be. Anya is also good student, she has all Honors.
Ezra is now a year old, and has been walking for over a month now. He was pretty sick awhile back with a stomach flu for 8 days, and that set him back a little on his practice, but he is just about running now. He is also future basketball player...just like Noah, he will be height challenged and most likely will play point guard. = ) He loves to toss the basketball through the hoop and toss his own dirty diaper away, and then clap at what a good job he has done. He says things like Hot, This, That, MaMa, DaDa. He says HI to EVERYONE and waves bye-bye. He is quite loud, and we are trying to teach him to say please instead of pointing and screaming at everything he wants. He is finally letting me get some things done around here although he is still very attached to Mom and Dad. He is such a joy, and just so cute, We could just watch and play with him all day.
Sergio and I made it through one whole year of marriage. =) We celebrated on Dec 1 by going to dinner and having some champagne. He wrote me a very nice letter/card. We enjoy watching the Jazz games..even more so when they win. I have been having a lot of fun experimenting with new foods. Ezra is allergic to dairy and wheat. Crystal also has some food issues. So I have come up with new ways of making our food taste like the old food. I actually really like doing this, I just don't like the mess and all the time it takes! I don't know what kinds of plans we have for traveling as a family in the coming year, but Noah will get to go to Washington DC in April with his class from school. In the mean time, I will just keep chasing, catching up, watching, learning, encouraging and loving (and whatever else comes my way)!
We are very blessed as a family, and we are so thankful to have all of you in our lives. Best wishes to all of you for 2009.
With Love, Sergio, Joelle, and Kids!
